Sevu grew up in Nadi, Fiji, where he was in the Fijian relay team at school!

He played for Hamilton Boys High who beat South Africa Paarl in the Sanix world youth tournament in 2014.
He is the fastest player to reach 50 tries in Super Rugby. On debut, Sevu scored an intercept try and was awarded man of the match!
